Well Said I am not in the

Well Said I am not in the practice of writing letters to newspapers or responding to such letters. However, after reading Jim Lovo’s recent letter to the newspaper I felt compelled to post a comment. I wish to whole heartedly express the highest respect and admiration for Jim taking the time and effort to post such a well-considered and relevant letter. I guess Jim and I have a few similarities in that we both grew up in Campbell County, left and now reside far from our early upbringing. But we both still check-in on the home towns and how they are faring. I can only add a few thoughts to the excellent letter Jim supplied. First, if you have not read the letter please read it or re-read it. Secondly, please vote and make it a reasoned vote. Although it sounds wishful and impossible, please ignore the political ads, the cable news , the alternate facts ( I knew them as lies when I was growing up) and the septic social web sites. With an open and clear mind assess not what the candidate says they will do but what the candidate really has done or has not done. More so than ever in my life time, these next elections will define the legacy for our children and grandchildren. Ron Schmidt Nipomo, CA
